Bedrijven, merken en organisaties gebruiken tegenwoordig vooral social media voor hun marketingstrategie. Social media staat in deze ranking met bijna 70% ruim bovenaan. Als tweede in dit lijstje volgt SEO met ongeveer 40%, gevolgd door account based marketing en contentcreatie.
Dit kunnen we omschrijven als opvallend, want steeds meer bedrijven kiezen voor eigen content kanalen om hiermee de afhankelijkheid van bijv. social-media te verkleinen. De reden hiervoor is: we hebben geen invloed op het algoritme van social media kanalen en de platforms doen hun best om gebruikers zo lang mogelijk daar te houden. Daarbij ontkom je er niet aan om advertising budget in te zetten. We willen tenslotte meer grip op onze marketing krijgen!

HubSpot benadrukt echter wel dat strategieën die nu werken, ook een beperkte levensduur hebben. De dynamiek op een platform verandert immers continue en andere marketeers zullen je gaan kopiëren zodra je succes hebt. Dit doen we tenslotte allemaal toch?
